Barkley Cup Playoffs | Vikings advance, while Carleton Place, Ottawa, and Richmond secure victories

 

Ottawa, ON – A full-slate of EOJHL playoff action on Saturday saw the Casselman Vikings eliminate Glengarry in a four-game sweep, while Carleton Place, Ottawa, and Richmond all picked up important victories in their respective series.

Casselman 4 Glengarry 1 – Casselman wins series 4-0

Casselman had goals from Vincent Bastien, Jacob Knickle, Dominic Martin, and Mathieu Cloutier, while Colton Rheaume made 32-saves in the victory. Glengarry had their lone tally from Connor MacDonald, while Kolton Belmonte made 23-saves in a relief appearance.

 

Carleton Place 5 Renfrew 1 – Carleton Place leads series 3-1

Carleton Place had two-goal efforts from Joe Devlin and Zach Lapier, a single from Zakary Keil, while Charlie Larocque made 30-saves for the win. Renfrew had their lone tally from Ryan Ladouceur, while Lucas Cardiff-Bilodeau made 30-saves in the loss.

 

Ottawa 5 Ottawa West 2 – Ottawa leads series 2-1

Tristan Witmer scored twice, Jason Cyr, Dylan Turcotte, and Riley Bloom also scored, while Derrick Champagne made 18-saves for the Ottawa victory. Ottawa West had goals from Connor Dickey and Marco Peloso, while James Cole made 25-saves in the loss.

 

Richmond 5 Athens 4 2OT – Richmond leads series 3-1

Dylan Rorwick scored twice in regulation, Simon Yang and Keenan Woods had singles, while Mathew Thompson was the overtime hero. Sam Nolan finished with 30-saves in the Richmond victory. Athens had goals from Tanner Hawkins, Cam McNulty, Nate Thompson, and Jaxon Viau, while Dustin Riff made a whopping 80-saves in the losing effort.
