OTTAWA, ON – The Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League (EOJHL) is pleased to announce that Bill Dixie, President of the Athens Aeros, has been named the recipient of the George Giroux Memorial Award as EOJHL Executive of the Year.
Dixie was selected for this honor by his fellow EOJHL teams in recognition of his leadership, dedication, and significant contributions to the success of the Athens Aeros and the growth of junior hockey in Eastern Ontario.
The George Giroux Memorial Award is named in honor of the late George Giroux, President and Owner of the Metcalfe Jets from 2007 until his passing in 2017. Giroux’s commitment to junior hockey and his passion for community involvement left a lasting legacy in the league.
