Ottawa, ON – The 2025–26 Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League season concluded with Cameron Sheppard of the Arnprior Packers etching his name into league history.
The Stittsville, Ontario native recorded 91 points in 41 games, establishing the Highest Scoring 16-Year-Old Single-Season mark of the EOJHL Internet Era. His production now stands as the modern benchmark for offensive performance at that age and ranks third all-time among 16-year-olds in league history.
Sheppard’s historic campaign placed him alongside some of the most productive young players to compete in the league. The all-time single-season scoring leaders among 16-year-olds in EOJHL history are as follows:
EOJHL Highest Scoring 16-Year-Olds – Single Season
- Dave Dixie (Athens) – 141 points (1970-71)
-
Christian Skoryna (Westport) – 106 points (1989–90)
-
Cameron Sheppard (Arnprior) – 91 points (2025–26)
-
Spencer Bowes (Perth) – 73 points (2023–24)
-
Tyson Spink (Charlan) – 73 points (2008–09)
- Greg Kealey (Kemptville) – 71 points (1996-97)
-
Jared Steege (Arnprior) – 70 points (2012–13)
While Dixie’s 141-point season remains the league record for a 16-year-old, Sheppard’s 91-point performance represents the highest total recorded during the EOJHL’s tracked Internet Era.
In just his first junior season, Sheppard demonstrated elite consistency and offensive ability, averaging more than two points per game over the 41-game schedule. His performance played a significant role in the Arnprior Packers’ offensive success throughout the 2025–26 campaign.
Single-season achievements at age 16 are rare in Junior hockey, and Sheppard’s record-setting year further underscores the league’s longstanding tradition of developing high-impact young talent.
The Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League congratulates Cameron Sheppard and the Arnprior Packers organization on an exceptional and historic season.
