Carleton Place advances, Westport eliminated

Ottawa, Ontario – The Carleton Place Jr Canadians defeated the Westport Rideaus in game six, taking the series 4-2.

The Canadians advance with a shutout win. They’ll now take on the Perth Blue Wings in the Richardson Division Final starting this Sunday in Perth. They are just the second Wild Card team to reach it this far since the 2015-16 season.

Brody Bernard made 35-saves for his first career playoff shutout. James Lister, Spencer Marshall and Oliver Carriere all scored for Carleton Place in the win.

Westport went 0-7 on the power-play and Alex Zoutis made 30-saves in the loss. Congratulations to Westport Rideaus graduating players Michael Anson and Jeff Hyndman on playing in your final CCHL2 game.
