OTTAWA, ON – The Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League is pleased to announce that goaltender Charlie Larocque of the Carleton Place Jr Canadians has been named the Week 20 Source for Sports Player of the Week.
The 2007 born native of Kanata, ON picked up two victories in his two starts this past week, stopping 54 of the 55 shots he faced and picking up 1 shutout. He began his week with a 22-save shutout victory over the Arnprior Packers before finishing strong with a 32-save victory over the Renfrew Timberwolves. He has now been victorious in 5 straight starts.
On the season, Larocque is 5-2-0-0 with a 2.59 GAA, .915 SV%, and 1 shutout after joining the Jr Canadians in mid-January.
