Casselman and Perth advance, Brockville and Ottawa West eliminated

Ottawa, Ontario – The Casselman Vikings moved onto the Martin Division Final and the Perth Blue Wings advanced to the Richardson Division Final with a wins on Tuesday night.

F | Casselman 6, Ottawa West 4

The Vikings have now punched a ticket to the Martin Division Final against the Ottawa Canadians. They beat Ottawa West 4-1 in their series, and defeat the Golden Knights in a series for the third time in four years.

Shawn Patterson scored his first career playoff hat-trick, while Joel Hunt and Mikael Bissonnette tallied two assists in the win.

The Golden Knights had the 2-0 lead early in the first, but could not hold onto it, as the Vikings four unanswered goals for the lead. Ottawa West brought it to a one-goal game twice in the third. Justin Jamer had 2G/1A in the loss, and finishes the series with five goals and eight points in five games.

F | Perth 3, Brockville 1

The Blue Wings win the series 4-1 and are moving onto the Richardson Division Final for a matchup against either Carleton Place or Westport.

Dylan Sharpley opened the scoring with his first of the playoffs. Brockville’s Mathieu Wuth made it one-goal game heading into the third, but Nathan MacKechnie’s empty netter ended the Tikis season. Brockville out-shot Perth 35-24 in the loss. Their only graduating player is Austin Caza. Congratulations on a great career.
