Ottawa, ON – The Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League (EOJHL) is pleased to announce that Geoff Seguin of the Casselman Vikings has been named the 2025-26 EOJHL Coach of the Year.
Seguin guided the Vikings to a league-best 38-5-0-1 record (77 points) this season, finishing first overall in the EOJHL standings with an impressive +130 goal differential.
Casselman’s success was built on discipline, structure, and special teams dominance. The Vikings finished with the league’s top penalty kill at 91.9% and ranked second overall on the power play at 25%, establishing themselves as one of the most complete teams in the league.
Seguin has been a fixture within the Vikings organization since joining as an Assistant Coach under Mike Ruest in 2010. Following Ruest’s retirement after the 2021-22 season, Seguin assumed the role of Head Coach and has continued the program’s standard of excellence.
Since taking over behind the bench, Seguin has compiled a remarkable 141-33-3-1 record, capturing two Regular Season titles and leading the Vikings to the Barkley Cup championship in 2023-24.
The EOJHL Coach of the Year Award recognizes outstanding leadership, team success, and overall coaching impact throughout the season.
The league congratulates Geoff and the Casselman Vikings on this well-deserved recognition.
