Ottawa, Ontario – The Central Canada Hockey League Tier 2 is proud to announce it’s CCM Hockey December Performers of the Month. Westport Rideaus player Blake Kettyle takes home the Player of the Month, Carleton Place Jr Canadians goaltender Brody Bernard is the Goaltender of the Month and forward Michael Patchell of the Carleton Place Jr Canadians earns the Rookie of the Month award.
POTM: ’99 Blake Kettyle (Westport Rideaus)
Kettyle, 20, scored 9-goals and 17-assists in 8-games in January – totaling two game winning goals to go along with three five-point games. It’s the second time this season that Kettyle has won Player of the Month. He won Player of the Month back in October. He also picked up his third hat trick this season and his eighth career hat trick throughout his career. He is currently on a 10 game point streak dating back to December 22nd 2019 (11 G / 16 A). The Perth, Ontario native leads the league in goals (35), assists (49), points (84), points per game (2.27), and game winning goals (9).
Blake Kettyle is now the all time leader in points (263) after scoring against Perth at the start of February.

Bernard, 18, went 5-0 in January, posting a 1.40 GAA / .913 SV% to go along with 1 shutout. The Carleton Place Jr Canadians net minder made 31 saves back on January 31 saves for his first career CCHL2 shutout. He allowed seven goals during his five games this month and has 16 wins this season. This season he is fifth among goaltenders in GAA (2.60), his 16 wins is tied for third in the league, and 18 among goals in Save Percentage (.899). He has currently won six consecutive games as a starter.

ROTM: ’02 Michael Patchell (Carleton Place Jr Canadians)
Patchell, 17, tallied six goals and seven assists in seven games. His career high in points in a game was four back on January 5th against Whitewater, where he managed to add four assists. He has collected four three-point games in his first season in CCHL Tier 2. He is currently on a six game point streak with four goals and six assists. He also collected one shorthanded goal and one game winning goal throughout the month of January. The Sittsville, Ontario native is 6th among rookies with goals (15), first among rookies in assists (33) and second in rookie scoring with 48 points.
