Connor MacDonald Named 2024-25 EOJHL Top Defenseman

 

OTTAWA, ON – The Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League (EOJHL) is thrilled to announce that Connor MacDonald of the Glengarry Brigade has been named the 2024-25 EOJHL Top Defenseman.

The 2004-born Williamstown, ON native turned in a stellar performance throughout the season, cementing his place as one of the league’s top defensive forces. MacDonald finished the regular season ranked second overall among all EOJHL defensemen with an impressive 51 points. His offensive production was highlighted by 12 goals, ranking fourth among all defenders, as well as 39 assists, showcasing his dynamic ability to contribute both on the blue line and in the offensive zone.

MacDonald’s impact on the Brigade was undeniable. Not only did he finish as the team’s top scorer, but he also outpaced the next closest defenseman on his squad by a staggering 38 points. Throughout the season, MacDonald showcased his versatility by producing 16 multi-point games, underscoring his consistency and offensive touch.

An all-situations player, MacDonald played key roles in both power-play and penalty-kill situations, logging over 30 minutes of ice time in nearly every game. His strong defensive positioning, leadership, and poise under pressure were crucial factors in the Brigade’s success this season. MacDonald’s ability to seamlessly blend defensive reliability with offensive flair made him a key contributor to the team’s overall success.
