OTTAWA, ON – The Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League is pleased to announce that Yanick Blanchard from the Embrun Panthers is the Week 11 Source for Sports Player of the Week.
The 2005 born Embrun, ON native tallied 5 goals and added 1 assist in two games last week, helping the Panthers to a pair of victories in their home and home series against Carleton Place.
Blanchard tallied 2 goals and 1 assist in the Panthers 5-1 home victory over the Canadians on Friday night, which included the game-winning goal. Then on Sunday, this time in Carleton Place, he put together another tremendous effort, tallying a hat-trick, including the overtime winning goal in the Panthers 6-5 win.
On the season, Blanchard has 28 points (15G, 13A) in 25 games of action.
