EOJHL Announces 2024-25 1st, 2nd, 3rd All-Star Teams

 

OTTAWA, ON – The Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League (EOJHL) is pleased to announce its 2024-25 season All-Star Teams, recognizing the top players and coaches for their exceptional performances throughout the year. These athletes have displayed remarkable skill, leadership, and commitment, making them standouts in their respective positions.

1st All-Star Team

  • Forward: Dylan Rorwick (Richmond Royals)
    A 2004-born native of Kanata, ON, Dylan Rorwick was a force to be reckoned with this season. Leading the EOJHL with 75 points (45 goals, 30 assists) in 47 games, Rorwick’s goal-scoring ability and playmaking vision made him the league’s top offensive player.

  • Forward: Nicolas Elie (Casselman Vikings)
    A 2004-born forward from St-Isidore, ON, Elie had an outstanding season with 74 points (29 goals, 45 assists) in 45 games. His all-around play and ability to produce both goals and assists made him one of the league’s most dynamic forwards.

  • Forward: Nolan DeFazio (Ottawa Junior Canadians)
    A 2005-born forward from Antigonish, NS, DeFazio finished the season with 72 points (35 goals, 37 assists) in 45 games. His offensive consistency and knack for scoring in critical moments earned him a well-deserved spot on the 1st All-Star Team.

  • Defense: Connor MacDonald (Glengarry Brigade)
    A 2004-born defenseman from Williamstown, ON, MacDonald put up an impressive 51 points (12 goals, 39 assists) in 48 games. His strong defensive play and offensive contributions from the back end were instrumental to his team’s success.

  • Defense: Toby Almstedt (Ottawa Junior Canadians)
    A 2007-born defenseman from Ottawa, ON, Almstedt’s 52 points (13 goals, 39 assists) in just 32 games was a remarkable feat for the young blue-liner. His vision, offensive instincts, and strong defensive presence made him a standout performer this season.

  • Goaltender: Colton Rheaume (Casselman Vikings)
    A 2007-born native of Cornwall, ON, Rheaume was stellar between the pipes, posting a 19-2-0 record, a 1.99 GAA, and a .935 save percentage. His consistency and ability to perform under pressure helped solidify his spot as one of the top goaltenders in the league.

  • Head Coach: Michael “Bundy” Seed (Athens Aeros)
    Coach Seed led his team to an exceptional season and helped develop key players, showing strong leadership and strategic vision that propelled the Aeros to success.

  • General Manager: Rob Gignac (Ottawa Junior Canadians)
    Gignac’s leadership and team-building efforts played a vital role in the success of the Ottawa Junior Canadians, ensuring a strong lineup throughout the season.

2nd All-Star Team

  • Forward: Connor Dickey (Ottawa West Golden Knights)
    The 2004-born forward from Nepean, ON, had a tremendous offensive season with 74 points (34 goals, 40 assists) in 48 games. Dickey’s ability to both score and set up his teammates was crucial to his team’s success.

  • Forward: Rhett Palmer (Athens Aeros)
    Palmer, a 2004-born forward from Canton, NY, recorded 60 points (26 goals, 34 assists) in 38 games. Known for his speed and offensive creativity, Palmer was a key contributor throughout the season.

  • Forward: Dylan Turcotte (Ottawa Junior Canadians)
    A 2007-born forward from Orleans, ON, Turcotte posted 61 points (28 goals, 33 assists) in just 27 games. His scoring touch and ability to contribute in all situations made him one of the league’s brightest young stars.

  • Defense: Vincent Bastien (Casselman Vikings)
    Bastien, a 2004-born defenseman from Rockland, ON, finished with 43 points (10 goals, 33 assists) in 45 games. His solid two-way play and leadership from the back end were key assets for the Vikings.

  • Defense: Liam Murdoch (Embrun Panthers)
    Murdoch, a 2004-born defenseman from Gloucester, ON, was a reliable presence for the Panthers, contributing 48 points (18 goals, 30 assists) in 48 games. His ability to join the rush and contribute offensively was essential for his team.

  • Goaltender: Derrick Champagne (Ottawa Junior Canadians)
    Champagne, a 2005-born goaltender from Greely, ON, posted a 24-5-3 record, with a 2.32 GAA and a .925 save percentage. His strong performances in key moments helped the Ottawa Junior Canadians remain competitive all season long.

  • Head Coach: Geoff Seguin (Casselman Vikings)
    Seguin guided the Casselman Vikings to an impressive season, focusing on player development and team cohesion that allowed his squad to perform at a high level.

  • General Manager: Denis Verville (Casselman Vikings)
    Verville played an essential role in assembling a competitive team and ensuring the Vikings had the right balance of skill and experience to compete at the highest level.

3rd All-Star Team

  • Forward: Nate Curson (Athens Aeros)
    A 2007-born forward from Mallorytown, ON, Curson had an incredible rookie season, finishing with 69 points (39 goals, 30 assists) in 48 games. His goal-scoring ability and playmaking earned him a spot on the 3rd All-Star Team.

  • Forward: Danik Marion (Ottawa Junior Canadians)
    Marion, a 2005-born forward from Orleans, ON, recorded 52 points (16 goals, 36 assists) in 40 games. His offensive contributions and leadership made him a key player for the Junior Canadians.

  • Forward: Alexis Lafrance (Casselman Vikings)
    Lafrance, a 2005-born forward from St-Albert, ON, accumulated 58 points (30 goals, 28 assists) in 47 games. His scoring ability and all-around play were essential to the Vikings’ success.

  • Defense: Parker Evans (Renfrew Timberwolves)
    Evans, a 2006-born defenseman from Stittsville, ON, had a breakout season, earning 34 points (12 goals, 22 assists) in 39 games. His solid defensive play and offensive contributions were key for the Timberwolves.

  • Defense: Marco Peloso (Ottawa West Golden Knights)
    Peloso, a 2004-born defenseman from Nepean, ON, contributed 30 points (14 goals, 16 assists) in 46 games. Known for his physicality and offensive upside, Peloso played a key role in Ottawa West’s defensive unit.

  • Goaltender: Dustin Riff (Athens Aeros)
    Riff, a 2005-born goaltender from Montreal, QC, posted an 18-11-2 record, a 2.58 GAA, and a .930 save percentage. His strong play in net kept the Aeros competitive throughout the season.

  • Head Coach: Tasso Vassilas (Ottawa Junior Canadians)
    Vassilas’ leadership helped guide the Ottawa Junior Canadians to an excellent season. His focus on discipline, structure, and development was evident in the team’s strong performance.

  • General Manager: Michael “Bundy” Seed (Athens Aeros)
    Seed’s strategic management and player development were pivotal in creating a competitive team that showcased individual talent and team success throughout the season.
