Ottawa, ON – The Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League (EOJHL) is pleased to announce its Performers of the Month for January, recognizing standout performances that helped shape the stretch run of the regular season.
Forward – Cameron Sheppard (Arnprior Packers)
The 2009-born Stittsville, ON native delivered an exceptional month offensively, recording 13 goals and 29 points in just 10 games as Arnprior clinched the Richardson Division title. Sheppard leads all rookie skaters league-wide in goals, assists, and points, while also sitting third overall in EOJHL scoring, regardless of age.
Defenseman – Parker Evans (Renfrew Wolves)
The 2006-born Stittsville, ON product led all defensemen in January scoring with 15 points (2G, 13A) in nine games, playing a key role in Renfrew securing a playoff berth. Evans currently ranks fourth among all EOJHL blueliners in overall scoring.
Goaltender – Dustin Riff (Ottawa West Golden Knights)
The 2005-born Montreal, QC native was nearly unbeatable in January, going 5-0-0-1 while posting a 1.31 goals-against average and a .957 save percentage. Riff closed the month with three consecutive shutouts and has not allowed a goal in 182 minutes and 16 seconds, showcasing elite consistency in the crease.
Rookie – Tristan Witmer (Casselman Vikings)
The 2008-born forward made an immediate impact after joining Casselman following the Christmas break, totaling 18 points (7G, 11A) in 10 games as the Vikings went 9-1-0-0 during that stretch. Prior to his arrival, Witmer recorded 16 points (7G, 9A) in 24 games with the Carleton Place Canadians of the CCHL.
