Ottawa, Ontario – The Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League has announced that the 2021-22 season will start on September 30th with the Ottawa West Golden Knights hosting the Ottawa Jr. Canadians. The Golden Knights finished 1st in the 2019-20 season and the Canadians were right behind them in 2nd. The last game that was played before the COVID-19 Pandemic was on March 11th when Carleton Place defeated Perth 6-2 in a playoff series.
Last season, there was no 2020-21 season due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. All teams had to play developmental scrimmages against nearby opponents throughout the year. The full EOJHL schedule for the 2021-22 season is expected to come out next week.
