Friday November 9th Recap

Ottawa, ON – It was a busy Friday night with five games on tap. Two games ended in OT and three in regulation. Three games were blowout wins.

Perth 4, Arnprior 1

This was the marquee matchup. The last time these teams met was when Arnprior defeated Perth 6-3. MacKechnie, Spencer, Miller and Harris tallied one goal each in the Blue Wings win. Peacock made 35 saves on 36 shots.

Miles Chaput had the only marker before the end of the second in Arnprior’s loss. Perth outshot them 43-36. The Packers have now lost their second straight game.

Renfrew 9, Westport 4

The Renfrew Tmberwolves snapped their four-game losing skid last week. Friday night saw Renfrew scoring nine goals on 52 shots. The last time these teams met was on October 27th when Westport blew them out 10-3.

Marinic led the way with his fourth career hat-trick and his first of the season. He now has a three-game point streak (6G / 2A). Fleming (2G / 1 A) and Fulton (1G / 2A) would each get three-point nights. Hyndman tallied two goals in the loss. Renfrew has now won two straight games.

F/OT | Ottawa West 2, Embrun 1

This game was the second of four meetings this season. They both traded goals in the first period. Michael Gallivan would be the OT Hero just 32 seconds into the extra frame.

Stratis tallied two assists and extended his point streak to two games. Ottawa West outshot Embrun 36-27. The Golden Knights pick up their third straight victory.

Casselman 6, Alexandria 0

Before this game, the Alexandria Glens held a Remembrance Ceremony. This game didn’t go the way the Glens planned. Chabot tallied two goals while Légaré had the GWG. Riley MacDonald picked up his first goal in Tier 2. Péladeau and Gagnier were the other goal scorers in the win.

Nicholas Campbell made 33 saves for his third shutout of the season. Casselman outshot their opponent 55-33. Vikings get a bounce back victory after losing a tough one against Ottawa on Thursday night.

Ottawa 9, Winchester 0

The Canadians extended their winning streak to four games. Nicolas Seguin tallied 2G / 4A in a six-point performance. De Kamp and Saumur would each pick up two goals each.

De Kamp had four points and Saumur along with Pickard had three points. Edwards and Housakos each collected one goal. Whitehurst made 14 saves for his league leading fourth shutout of the season. OJC outshot the Hawks 60-14. Hawks snap their two-game winning streak.
