Friday Recap | Five Games

Ottawa, Ontario – Five games were in action on the last Friday of the CCHL2 first-half. Arnprior, Westport, Alexandria, Renfrew and Embrun got wins.

F/OT | Arnprior 2, Brockville 1

Miles Chaput’s 10th goal of the season early in overtime snapped the Packers two game skid. They are 2-5 in December with two more games to play.

Despite out shooting Arnprior, the Brockville Tikis drop their third straight game. Dakota Seaman had the Tikis only goal in the loss.

F | Westport 5, Carleton Place 1

The Westport Rideaus’ somehow found a way to win despite being out-shot 51-27. Blake Kettyle scored his second hat-trick of the season in the win. He becomes seventh CCHL2 players to reach the 20 goal mark.

Alex Zoutis made 50 saves for his ninth win of the year. He has now made 50 or more saves in a game twice this season.

The Canadians two game losing-streak comes to an end. They finish the first-half 16-12-1.

F | Alexandria 5, Richmond 1

Reggy St-Surin (2G), Kole Beaton (2A) and Samuel Lacroix (2A) each had multi-point games in the Glens 15th win of the season. They improve to 4-1 in December.

The Royals have now lost two straight games after having their three game winning-streak snapped against Ottawa West on Thursday.

F/OT | Renfrew 6, Whitewater 5

Andrew McIntyre tied the game late in the third and capped off his four-point (3G/1A) night with the overtime winner. He now leads the league with 29 goals and 58 points. Renfrew has now won three straight games and are 3-1-1 in December.

In the Whitewater loss, Declan Flanagan (1G/2A), Tommy Cahill (2G), Quinn Vanhoof (2A), John Enright (2A) and Dylan Kuehl each had multi-point games.

F | Embrun 5, Winchester 0

Joshua Ivanski made 21 saves for his first career shut-out. The Panthers have now won two consecutive games and their 10th win of the season.

Jeremy Cyr tallied a career high three-assists and Cayden Martin scored 1G/2A in the win.
