Friday Recap | Five Games

Ottawa, ON – Five games were on tap on a busy Friday night.

F | Arnprior 1, Renfrew 0

It was a close contest throughout this game. The only goal went to Adam Church which turned out to be the GWG. Cameron Scott makes 31 saves for his first shutout this season.

Ethan Lapenskie only made 21 stops in the loss. Renfrew outshot Arnprior 31-22. The Packers get back into the win column after losing to Casselman Thursday night.

F | Westport 5, Perth 3

It was a special night for Head Coach Jeff Snow. He collected his 300th win of his EOJHL/CCHL Tier 2 coaching career. Leading the way was Blake Kettyle and Griffin Patterson with two goals each. Ty Nicholson picked up the only goal for Westport.

Harris, Symington and Spencer were the goal scorers for Perth. Westport outshot Perth 46-44. The Rideaus’ snap their two game losing streak.

F | Casselman 4, Embrun 2

The Panthers were able to outshoot Casselman but it wasn’t enough to get a victory. Dicaire and Cossette each register 1G / 1A. Frédérick Gagnier picked up the game winning goal. Chénier makes 28 saves for his 11th win this season.

Brosseau and Drost had goals for Embrun. The Vikings have won four consecutive games.

F | Alexandria 9, Char-Lan 5

Dylan Stacey had a monsterous night – collecting 2G / 3A in a five-point performance. Cedyuk Miron picked up his first two CCHL2 goals. Sauve (3A), Gibeault (1G / 2A) and Odjick (1G / 2A) collect three points in the Glens win.

The Rebels attempted to comeback down 6-0 but couldn’t find a way. Testani and Sabourin lead the way with 1G / 1A in the Rebels loss. The Glens extend their winning streak to two games.

F | Ottawa 4, Winchester 2

Justin Turner collects 1G / 1A. He has five points in his last four games with 3G / 2A. Robbie Pickard got the GWG in the second period. The Canadians are the first team to 30 wins this season.

Lucas Devries made 50 saves in 54 shots. Johnson and Kuehni each had one goal in the Hawks loss. Winchester has lost six consecutive games (0-4-2).
