Ottawa, Ontario – It was a busy night in the EOJHL with five games on tap. The matchups were Whitewater vs Arnprior, Richmond vs Embrun, Valley vs Westport, Ottawa vs Winchester and Ottawa West vs Alexandria.

Arnprior 5, Whitewater 4

Arnprior extends their win streak to four games after picking up a one goal victory over Whitewater. Neil Duncan continues to stay by scoring once and extends his point streak to 15 games. Connor Buffam scores his first EOJHL hat trick which proved to be the game winner. Jayden Proulx also added 1G/1A while Max Saito had three assists. Jett Miller is 4-0 in his last four starts as he made 27 saves.

Whitewater scores for the first time in three games. Grayson Ebrahim, Blake Menard, Mathieu Paquin and Reid Greer were the goal scorers for the Kings. Arnprior went 1-for-1 on their power play while Arnprior outshot Whitewater 48-31.

Embrun 5, Richmond 2

The Panthers bounce back and are 3-0 against Richmond this season. Riley MacDonald and Isaac Leduc each scored twice while Eric Skyba collects his 8th goal this season. Other players with two assist games were Connor MacDonald and Yanick Blanchard. Bowen made 21 saves in the win and Embrun goes 3-for-8 on the power play. Embrun is 3-2 in their last five games.

Luke Richardson collects 1G/1A and Wylie Dixon added 1G for Richmond. Dixon has five points in his last five games. Moshchensky made 26 saves as he took the loss and was pulled in the second period. Ethan Dinsdale made 16 saves in 33 minutes of play in net. Richmond went 2-for-7 on the power play. Shots were 45-23 in favour of Embrun.

Valley 6, Westport 4

The Valley Timberwolves were down 4-2 heading into the third and score four unanswered goals to win their third game of the season. Matt Goudreault scores his first EOJHL hat trick which proved to be the game winner with 2:41 left in regulation. Fleming extends his point streak to three games by scoring twice while Tyler Cutts and Sam Klawitter each tally two points. Valley has won two consecutive games for the first time this season.

Westport extends their losing streak to two games. Craig and Burns each had 1G/1A while Josh Barbeau had 1G/2A for a three point night. Jesse McCoy also tally the other Westport goal. Valley went 2-for-4 on the power play while Westport was 0-for-6. Shots were 36-30 for Westport.

Winchester 3, Ottawa 1

It was second of a back to back as Ottawa took the first matchup on Tuesday by winning in a shootout. This time it was Winchester, who was able to break the tie in the third and pick up their 6th win this season. Kyle Filion scores the game winner and Maxwell Messervey collects 1G/1A to extend his point streak to two games. William Labrosse scores his first EOJHL goal back in the first. Justin Lee made 41 saves for his second win this season.

The only goal for OJC came on the power play from Giuseppe Marino in the loss. Shots were 43-42 for Winchester. The season series is now tied at two with two more meetings to come in the regular season.

Ottawa West 7, Alexandria 1

The Ottawa West Golden Knights won their 11th consecutive game and go to 12-1 this season. Seven different Golden Knights players scored in this game. Kearns, Haymes and McFarlane each tally 1G/2A while Troccoli-Roik, Bush, Aston and Ponomarev each had one goal in the win. Mellios also collects his first assist this season and Brown adds two assists. Josh McMaster made 34 saves for his 4th win.

Oliver Wray had Alexandria’s only goal in the loss. Golden Knights went 2-for-5 on the power play and outshot Alexandria 44-35. These teams will face off against next Thursday night inside the Barbara Ann Scott Arena.
