Ottawa, Ontario – Five games were happening in the EOJHL that witness two Martin Division games and three Richardson Division games on Friday February 4th.

Embrun 2, Winchester 1

The Embrun Panthers winning streak extended to 11 games by picking up a one goal victory over Winchester. That win evens the season series at two a piece. The Panthers were trailing 1-0 heading into the second as Riley MacDonald would tie the game with 8:57 left and Isaac Leduc’s 11th goal this season proved to be the game winner. Aidan Foley made 35 saves as he picks up his 8th consecutive win. His last loss came against Ottawa West on Nov 5th.

Winchester’s losing streak goes to three games. Noel Klassen would score the only goal for the Hawks. Shots were 52-36 for Embrun.

Carleton Place 7, Perth 4

After Carleton Place was trailing 1-0, they would go on to score five unanswered goals from Robichaud, Bouwer, Pollock, Smetham and Dickey. Perth would cut the lead to 5-4 early in the third but Carleton Place got to two more goals to get the win. Pollock, Edgerton, Dickey, Neil, Robichaud and Inoue would each tally two points. Pundyk made 32 saves for his 10th win in his first season with Carleton Place.

Davidson and Harris would each collect two points while Salter and Skopinski were the other goal scorers for Perth. Both each scored once during the man advantage. Shots were 36-35 for Perth.

Westport 5, Brockville 4 (SO)

This game would need a shootout after a back for forth affair between two talented teams. Mathieu MacMillan would score the shootout winner in the first round and picked up two goals. Kyle Dagg and Connor Craig would each tally 1G/2A. Nathaniel Boyes made 52 saves and added one assist in the win. Westport extends their winning streak to four games.

It was a game for a lot of first’s for Brockville as Kyle Powers, Sam Fisher and Brody Fraleigh would each score their first goal of the season. Vincent Busseau would score his ninth goal. Both teams had two power play goals. Shots were 56-40 for Brockville.

Arnprior 7, Athens 2

Arnprior would continue to stay hot by extending their winning streak to three games. Dylan Kuehl scores his first hat trick this season in a five-point night. Sam Klawitter added 1G/3A for four points and his point streak goes to two games. Cugliette, Duncan, Bufffam and McGregor would each have multi-point games. Jett Miller made 31 saves in the win. Arnprior went 2-for-4 on the power play.

Reid Trueman and Alex Seed had Athens only goals in the loss. Shots were 48-36 for Arnprior. Emerson Hunt made 41 saves in between the pipes.

Alexandria 10, Ottawa 6

It was a wild games from start to finish as the Glens were able to prevail and end their losing streak at four games. Oliver Wray leads his team offensively by scoring four goals and Dante Parent added 2G/2A for four points. De Sanctis (3A), Brassard (3A), Ma (1G/2A) and Kay (1G/2A) each got on the scoresheet by collecting three points. Vincent Boyle would score the game winner in the third. Alexandria went 3-for-6 on the power play.

Nicolas Papineau collects three goals and two assist for five points in Ottawa’s loss. Fraser and Marino were the other goal scorers. OJC went 2-for-5 on the power play. Shots were 38-28 for Alexandria.
