Friday Recap | Fives Games in the CCHL2

Ottawa, ON – Five games were on tap on a busy Friday night. The only game getting postponed was Brockville vs Renfrew.

F | Carleton Place 2, Perth 0

Owen Bennett was strong in net picking up his first career CCHL2 shutout after stopping 25 shots. Marshall had the GWG and Richmond added insurance late in the third period.

Canadians are 5-1-1 in their last seven games. Blue Wings snapped their two-game winning streak. CP outshot Perth 29-25.

F | Alexandria 5, Athens 2

The Glens were able to score four unanswered goals in the first period including a hat trick from Mikael Gibeault. They have now won three straight games. Sauve and Stacey had helpers on three of the five goals scored.

Athens have now lost six straight games and finished October 0-5-1. Their last win came on Sept 30th against Carleton Place. McKenney and Servage each tallied one goal in the loss.

F | Westport 7, Char-Lan 2

Matthew Seed and Hugh McHugh each tallied two goals snapping Westport’s three game losing skid. Anson and Hogan each collected three assists throughout the game despite playing three guys short.

Reifler and Sabourin had the Rebels goals in the second period. Both teams equal in shots at 46. Griffin made 44 saves in the win.

F | Embrun 5, Richmond 4

Panthers lead 3-0 but the Royals would comeback to tie it but, in the end, Marc Brosseau scored the GWG plus had two helpers in a three-point performance. Beaudoin collects two goals while Drost (2A) and Larcher (1G, 1A) each had two points.

Symington had a goal plus a helper in the Royals ninth loss of the season. Embrun outshot Richmond 42-40.

F/OT | Arnprior 6, Winchester 5

Winchester was trailing throughout this game and were able to comeback down 5-3 to tie it up to steal a point away from Arnprior. Joel Driscoll scored the OT Winner just 39 seconds into extra time. Courchesne (1G / 1A) and Lambert (2A) would each collect two points in the win.

Pare put up three points with 2G / 1A in OT loss for Winchester. Kuehni also tallied 1G / 1A. Arnprior outshot Winchester 57-38. Packers extended their winning streak to three consecutive games.
