Friday Recap | Six Games

Ottawa, ON – Six games were on tap on Friday night.

F/OT – Char-Lan 4, Perth 3

The Rebels made a statement by breaking their seven game losing streak. Sam Ferland would be the OT hero, ending the night with two goals. Brennan Markell also contributed 1G / 2A in a three-point night. Julien Cholette made 49 saves to pick up his fourth win this season.

Corey Symington scores twice as the Blue Wings lose. Mack Miller (1 G / 2 A) and Ty Power (3 A) each tally three-points on the night. They are 2-2-1 in January.

F | Renfrew 6, Athens 1

Luka Marinic scores his second hat-trick of the season and has five goals in his last two games. Nick Cuddy also registers two goals. McEnery and Howie each had two helpers. The Timberwolves extend their winning streak to two games.

Renfrew scores six goals in a game for the second time this season. The last time they did that was on December 21st 2018 in a OT win against Whitewater.

Matt Berry had the only goal in Athens fifth consecutive loss to start 2019.

F | Alexandria 9, Richmond 1

The Royals were playing short and the Glens dominated from start to finish. Whiteduck, Baxtrom and Odjick each tallied two goals. Mathieu Parent had 1G / 3A in a four-point game. The Glens score nine goals for the third time this season and for the second straight game.

Ryan Mann started the scoring 16 seconds in and couldn’t get any going after that. Richmond has lost two straight games and Alexandria extends their winning streak to three games.

F | Ottawa 5, Embrun 2

The Canadians collect their eighth consecutive win. Raphael Lecours collects his first CCHL2 goal and added a helper in a multi-point night. Saumur also had 1 G / 1 A and Hall with two helpers. Freel extends his point-streak to five games with one goal and has 4 G / 3 A during that time.

The Panthers went 2-for-3 on the power play with goals from Brosseau and Beaudoin. Embrun’s losing streak goes to three consecutive games.

F | Westport 7, Whitewater 5

Nicholson (2 G / 1 A), Ieradi (1 G / 2 A) and Boisclair (3 A) each had three-point performances in the Rideaus second consecutive win. Hugh McHugh also collects two goals. Kettyle extends his point-streak to three games after tallying an assist.

Dylan Kuehl collects 2 G / 1 A and extends his point-streak to nine games. He has nine goals and five assists since the break. Pion and Cahill also collect 1 G / 1 A in the Kings loss. Whitewater has now lost two straight games.

F | Casselman 4, Winchester 2

Joel Hunt continued his point-streak to six games after collecting 1 G / 2 A. Péladeau would get the game winning goal early in the third period. Dicaire also had two assists and now has one goal and 11 assists since returning to the lineup.

Buffone and Johnson were the only goal scorers in the Hawks second consecutive loss. Lucas Devries made 43 saves in 47 shots.
