Morning Recap | Arnprior and Winchester collect wins on Friday night

Ottawa, Ontario – Originally there were three games on Friday night but one game between Brockville and Renfrew got postponed to due to unforeseen circumstances with the Tikis. The games that was happening we’re Perth vs Arnprior and Winchester vs Alexandria.

Arnprior 4, Perth 0

Cameron Scott made 28 saves for his first shutout of the season. It was also his first game since winning December’s Goaltender of the Month award. Gabriel Davis netted his first two CCHL2 goal in a three-point night and Ethan McCormick tallied his first CCHL2 goal.

Pat Bones collected the game winner late with under eight minutes left in the second period. Jacob Cover also got on the scoresheet by adding two assists. Arnprior extends their winning streak to three games while Perth’s four game winning streak is snapped. Shots were 29-28 for Arnprior.

Winchester 6, Alexandria 5

Winchester goes to 2-0-3 in their last five games with a big win over Alexandria and had to comeback down 5-3. It’s also the Hawks 14th win this season. Danny Johnson leads the way offensively by netting two goals and had four points. He also collects his second game winner of the season.

Kyle Kuehni scores twice while Colby Schroeder added 1 G / 1 A. Allard and Veilleux each tally 1 G / 1 A while Leonard and Bigras added two assists in the Alexandria loss. Shots were 46-35 in favour of Alexandria. Winchester power play was 0-for-5 and Alexandria’s man advantage was 0-for-11.
