Morning Recap | Brockville dominates Athens to victory on Wednesday

Ottawa, Ontario – The only game that happened on Wednesday was Athens taking on Brockville at the BMC. Athens didn’t quit and almost came back in the third, but it was cut short.

Brockville 4, Athens 2

Ryan Glazer extended his point streak to four games by collecting a goal and two assists. It’s his fourth three-point game of the season. During his point streak, he has five goals and three assists. Glazer’s goal early in the second turned out to be the game winner.

Tyler Toomey got on the scoresheet with an empty net goal while Cole Jelly and Riley Youngs tallied their first CCHL2 goals this season. Brayden Kelso only stopped 17 of 19 shots in the win. The Tikis outshot Athens 47-19.

When Athens were trailing 3-0, they showed lots of fight. Liam Silva and Jesse McCoy score for Athens to cut the lead to one goal. Justin Lafrance made 43 saves in his 7th loss since joining the Aeros. Brockville snaps their two game losing and Athens are still in search of their first win this season.
