Morning Recap | Embrun and Casselman winners on Thursday

Ottawa, Ontario – The Panthers were on the road against the Ottawa West Golden Knights and Casselman was looking for their second straight win as they were facing off against Alexandria.

Embrun 5, Ottawa West 1

It was a dominating performance from the Embrun Panthers from start to finish as they extend their winning streak to four games. Eric Skyba scores twice including the game winner in the second period. Drevniok, Martin and C. Peck each had two points throughout the game. Taillefer also netted his 25th goal this season.

Will Nguyen makes 33 saves in the win. Sean Kearns collected the only goal in the Golden Knights loss. Ottawa West snaps a 10 game home winning streak. Their last loss at home was on October 24th when Ottawa West loss in OT 7-6 to the Perth Blue Wings. Embrun outshot Ottawa West 43-34.

Casselman 3, Alexandria 1

After a dominating performance against the Ottawa Jr. Canadians on Tuesday, the Vikings were able to pick up their second straight win. Drouin, Gagnier and Leveille each scored once for Casselman and Nicholas Campbell had a good performance by making 26 saves.

Nicolas Corry had the only tally marker in the Glens loss. Most importantly, Alexandria was 1-for-11 on the power play throughout the game. The positive sign was Alexandria outshooting Casselman 27-25.
