Morning Recap | Embrun completes comeback to win in a shootout against Ottawa

Ottawa, Ontario – The only game on Tuesday was the Embrun Panthers taking on the Ottawa Jr. Canadians at the Earl Armstrong Arena.

Cayden Martin scores the shootout winner in the fourth round to give Embrun their 6th win in January. They’ve also have won six of their last seven games. Tristian Taillefer collects 1G / 1A. He has six goals in his last seven games. Mahoney and Beaudoin were the other goal scorers for Embrun.

William Nguyen makes 33 saves in the comeback win. The Panthers were trailing 2-0 and 3-1 during the first period and were able to battle back. Noel de Kemp scores twice and Fitzsimmons netted a goal in the loss. Shots were 39-36 for Embrun.

The Canadians power player operated at 50% by going 1-for-2 while Embrun’s man advantage was 0-for-2. The Panthers will play the Golden Knights this upcoming Friday while OJC will look to bounce back on Friday when they face the red hot Renfrew Timberwolves.
