Morning Recap | Greene’s four-point night lifts Richmond to victory over OJC on Tuesday

Ottawa, Ontario – The Richmond Royals (10-11-3) were on the road to play the Ottawa Jr. Canadians (19-4-3) at the Earl Armstrong Arena where both teams are hot throughout their last five games.

Richmond 6, Ottawa 4

Ethan Greene leads his team with two goals and two assists including the game winner early in the third period. It’s also his first four-point game of his CCHL Tier 2 career. Adam Goodfellow and Curran Gilmour also tallied one goal for two points on the night.

Darien Johnson also had a very good performance in net by making 32 saves on 36 shots. Richmond is now 3-0-2 in their last five games and in the month of December. Take a look at some of the goals that the Richmond Royals had throughout the game.

For the Ottawa Jr. Canadians, they snap their five game winning streak. It’s their first loss since losing in overtime against Casselman in November. Janick Lacroix collected two goals and Nicolas Seguin also netted one goal for two points on the night.

Griffin McGregor also had another good game by tallying two assists and extends his point streak to five games. The Canadians power-play did capitalize by going 2-for-6 and Richmond’s man advantage was 1-for-4. OJC is now 5-1 in December.
