Morning Recap | Three Games

Ottawa, Ontario – There were three games happening last night as Renfrew took on Athens, Richmond traveled to Cobden to take on Whitewater and Carleton Place took on Char-Lan in a high scoring game.

Renfrew 6, Athens 2

The Timberwolves collected six unanswered goals after the Aeros got the first goal of the game. Paul Hughes (U18 Kanata) played in his first game in a Timberwolves uniform as a call up and was able to net his first CCHL2 goal in a multi-point night. Ben Langille also contributed offensively by picking up his third two goal game of the season.

Noah Maika also had 1 G / 1 A and Alexander Fleming scored the game winner very early in the second period. Eric Gough collects his first two goals of his CCHL2 career in his third game this season with Athens. Renfrew finishes the month of November by going 5-2.

Whitewater 2, Richmond 1 (SO)

Before this game happened, the Richmond Royals bus was down and got some help to get to Cobden.

The Kings were able to pick up a shootout win with Dan Duggan collecting the game winner. Aidan Neville netted the only goal in the third period to force OT. Joseph Weise was excellent between the pipes by making 37 saves for his 6th win of the season.

Ethan Greene had Richmond’s only goal in the loss. Josh Lacelle also had a great night by making 44 saves. Both teams combined for 92 penalty minutes throughout the hockey game.

Carleton Place 7, Char-Lan 6

This was a game to watch as both teams combined for 13 goals last night. Ben Charbonneau got his first five-point game of his CCHL2 career. Spencer Marshall and Connor Nicoll both tallied 2 G / 1 A for three points while Ethan Woolsey and Bill Gourgon also ha multi-point games with one goal and one assist.

Isaac Testani was able to lead his team with his first career hat trick but unfortunately it was a Rebels loss. Kale MacCormick also contributed with three assists on the night. Carleton Place ends the month on a high note by going 5-2-1.
