Ottawa, ON – There were two games in the last two days. On Tuesday, the Char-Lan Rebels shocked the Ottawa Canadians with a big win. Wednesday, Arnprior had a really good third period by pushing the paste but Brockville was able to prevail with a win.
Char-Lan 5, Ottawa 3 (Tuesday)
The Rebels were down 3-2 after the second period and were able to score five unanswered goals in the third to get their 5th win of the season. Paul Walhauser and Owen Carter each collected 1 G / 1 A. Carter also got his first career CCHL2 game winning goal.
Cole Eakins stopped 42 saves for his first win as a Rebel. Char-Lan also went 2-for-3 on the man advantage while their penalty kill was 4-for-6. Seguin and de Kemp also tallied 1 G / 1 A in the loss for Ottawa. The shots were equal at 45 in that game.
Brockville 5, Arnprior 4
The Tikis were able to fight off a big push from Arnprior in the third as they were able to get their second consecutive win. Taysean Smith had his first two CCHL2 goals and Vincent Huot-Orellana also had his first of the season. Marcus Arabe would get the game winning goal while Arnprior was on the power play.
The Tikis had two shorthanded goals in this game. Quinn Vanhoof would collect his second consecutive hat trick in back-to-back games. His first hat trick of the season came against the Ottawa Canadians back on October 27th. The shots were 48-37 in favoring of Arnprior.
