Morning Recap | Winchester completes comeback against Casselman in OT on Thursday

Ottawa, Ontario – The only game happening on Thursday night was Casselman taking on Winchester at the Jr Brisson Complex where the Vikings are looking to break a little losing streak while Winchester were in search of another key win after losing to Perth in OT last week.

The WInchester Hawks were down 4-1 at one point during the game and were able to score three unanswered goals between the second half of the second period until the end of the game. Jacob Giacobbi was the OT hero by picking his second goal this season with 3 seconds left.

Eric Vitale had a huge night offensively by collected 1 G / 3 A in a four-point night. He also extends his point streak to two games. Schroeder, Kuehni and Fleming also netted one goal in the Hawks 13th win this season.

Kevin Howson (NCJHL, St. Isidore Eagles) tallied two goals and Frederick Gagnier also had two points with 1 G / 1 A in the Vikings loss. They are 0-3-1 in their last four games. Winchester are 2-0-1 in their last three games. Shots were 36-20 in favour of Casselman.
