Ottawa, ON – With three games postponed Saturday due to weather across the region, the lone matchup was the earliest scheduled for the day in Casselman. The Vikings made the most of the day’s only action, riding a dominant third-period surge and a perfect outing in goal to secure a shutout victory over the visiting Athens Aeros.

The Casselman Vikings broke open a previously tight contest with a three-goal third period en route to a 4–0 win over the Athens Aeros at home.
After a scoreless opening frame, Casselman struck early in the second when Cédric Ouimet put the Vikings ahead just 57 seconds in, finishing off a setup from Jeremy Bessette and Téo Webb.
The Vikings took full control in the third. Mathieu Cloutier doubled the lead at 1:45, then added another at 9:17 for his 13th and 14th goals of the season—both assisted by Marc-Olivier McCarthy, who had a multi-assist outing. Casey Hayward capped off the night on the power play at 16:06, converting a feed from Cloutier to make it 4–0.
At the other end, Myles Boudreau was perfect, stopping all 16 Athens shots to earn the shutout. Nicholas Periard made 28 saves for the Aeros.
Casselman improves to 13-3-0-0, while Athens drops to 3-12-4-0.
