Ottawa, ON – A busy Sunday slate brought drama, momentum swings, and a streak snapped across the EOJHL. Richmond needed overtime to fend off Carleton Place, Athens picked up a long-awaited victory at home to halt a ten-game slide, and Arnprior claimed a crucial divisional win over Renfrew to strengthen their hold on first place in the Richardson Division.

Richmond 4, Carleton Place 3 (OT)

The Royals outlasted the Jr. Canadians in one of the season’s most fast-paced games, earning a 4–3 overtime win on home ice.

Richmond opened the scoring early when Jacob Warnes netted his third of the year at 2:20, but Carleton Place answered quickly through Luke Humby. The teams traded goals again in the first as Kevin Zhu restored the Royals’ lead at mid way through the period.

The Jr. Canadians surged ahead in the middle frame. A power-play marker from Ethan Shaver tied the game, followed by Reid Hapke, who gave Carleton Place a 3–2 advantage at 14:06. Richmond struck back late with a shorthanded effort from Dylan Cutts to send the teams to the third knotted at 3–3.

With no scoring in the final period, overtime was required, and it didn’t take long—Nevyn Trenholm buried the winner at 1:11, set up by Warnes and Avery Schoenhofen, lifting Richmond to victory.

Sam Nolan made 27 saves for the Royals, while Callum Clare stopped 40 shots in the OT loss.

Marshall Greig earned the win with 23 saves, while Jake Dignard turned aside 39 shots for Perth.
