November 23/25 | Royals Run Wild, Hawks Hold Firm, Aeros Cruise, and Packers Edge Perth on a Busy Sunday

Ottawa, ON – Sunday delivered a high-scoring slate across the EOJHL, highlighted by Richmond’s seven-goal outburst at home, Winchester’s tight defensive effort against Glengarry, a dominant shutout win for Athens, and Arnprior’s continued roll atop the Richardson Division with a back-and-forth victory over Perth.

RICHMOND 7, RENFREW 4

The Royals erupted offensively on home ice, using a four-goal third period to power past Renfrew in a 7–4 win. Tyson MacCoubrey opened the scoring with his sixth of the season, while Dylan Cutts led the way with two goals, including an empty-netter to seal it late. Richmond also received goals from Kevin Zhu, Gabriel Tremblay, Ethan Fleming, and Owen Coady—each finishing with multi-point nights as the power play went to work with four man-advantage markers.

Renfrew kept pace through much of the night, driven by a two-goal effort from Jacob Lalande and singles from Jackson Andrews and Connor Hanniman, but couldn’t slow Richmond’s late surge.

Sam Nolan was sharp with 41 saves for the win, while Dylan Elliott made 37 stops in the loss. Richmond improves to 9-8-0-1, and Renfrew falls to 9-10-1-0.

WINCHESTER 3, GLENGARRY 1

Winchester executed a clean, structured home performance to take down Glengarry 3–1. Trevor Tangalin kicked off the scoring on a first-period power play, and the Hawks held that lead until Glengarry’s A.J. Alejandrino tied it later in the frame.

The Hawks’ push in the third made the difference. Daniel McDowell buried his 16th of the year to restore the lead, and Vincent Anderson iced it with an empty-net goal in the final minute. Isaac Bradley chipped in a two-assist night, and goaltender Jacob Turpin was terrific, stopping 26 of 27.

Maxime Mayer kept Glengarry competitive with 35 saves, but the Brigade fall to 11-8-2-0, while Winchester climbs to 9-10-0-0.

ATHENS 8, CARLETON PLACE 0

Athens delivered their best offensive showing of the season, overwhelming Carleton Place in an 8–0 rout powered by a relentless opening period. Eight different Aeros recorded multi-point performances, led by Connor Poulin’s two-goal night, while Nolan Tym and Parker Kealey each scored and added helpers. Cohen Merkley opened the scoring just 17 seconds in to set the tone.

The Aeros’ special teams were outstanding, scoring three times on the power play. Athens poured 33 shots on the Carleton Place tandem of Callum Clare and Sebastien Janisch.

Nicholas Periard was perfect with a 25-save shutout, improving Athens to 6-13-4-0. Carleton Place drops to 6-13-2-0.

ARNPRIOR 5, PERTH 4

Arnprior tightened their grip atop the Richardson Division with a 5–4 win in a wild, momentum-shifting battle with Perth. Ian Kennedy and Reid Bishop opened the scoring early, but Perth responded with a strong middle frame highlighted by goals from Kaius Newberry and Carter Scott.

The third period delivered a flurry—Jackson Taylor scored 42 seconds in, Newberry completed a hat trick to tie it, and Bishop answered with the eventual game-winner midway through the frame. Andrew Carter and Charlie Sheppard each had multi-point outings, while Ethan Smith added another assist to extend his scoring pace.

Tristan Hodgson turned aside 39 shots for the win. Jake Dignard made 34 saves in the loss. Arnprior improves to 14-5-0-0, while Perth falls to 5-12-1-1.
