Ottawa, ON – The EOJHL Sunday schedule featured three matchups across the league, with Ottawa extending their hold on first place, Renfrew continuing to surge, and Arnprior picking up a hard-fought road win.
Ottawa 6 Richmond 2
The Ottawa Jr Canadians powered to their 10th win of the season with a 6–2 victory over Richmond. Ryan Daze opened the scoring early in the first before Ottawa piled on with three more goals in the frame from Mattias Côté, Dax McKinnon, and Danik Marion. Riley Bloom added a shorthanded marker in the second, and Côté scored again in the third to seal the win.
Côté (2G, 1A), Perreault (3A), Bloom (1G, 2A), and Marion (1G, 2A) all had three-point performances. Jackson Curran made 27 saves in the win. Nicholas Milbury and Nevyn Trenholm tallied for Richmond. Ottawa improves to 10-1-0-0 to stay atop the EOJHL, while Richmond falls to 5-5-0-0.
Renfrew 7 Carleton Place 1 – at Renfrew
Renfrew exploded for five goals in the first two periods en route to a commanding 7–1 win over Carleton Place. Cole McLelland got things started early, followed by tallies from Owen Brown, Jacob Lalande, Preston Charron, and Brayden Brown before the second intermission. Bryce Hodgson and Jackson Andrews added power play goals in the third to cap off the scoring.
Andrews (1G, 1A), Brown (1G, 1A), Lalande (1G, 1A), Charron (1G, 1A), and Hart (2A) all had multi-point efforts. Dylan Elliott turned aside 22 shots for the win. Luke Humby scored the lone Carleton Place goal. Renfrew moves to 6-5-1-0, while Carleton Place drops to 4-7-0-0.
Arnprior 2 Athens 1 – at Athens
Arnprior edged Athens 2–1 in a tight battle on the road. Ethan Smith opened the scoring early in the second period, with Baron Gleason responding midway through for Athens. Cameron Sheppard netted the game-winner late in the frame, and Nathan Carlson shut the door the rest of the way with 29 saves.
Carter Downs picked up assists on both Arnprior goals. Marshall Greig made 41 saves in a strong performance for Athens despite the loss. Arnprior improves to 4-3-0-0, while Athens falls to 3-5-4-0.
