October 24/25 | Strong Nights for Arnprior, Embrun, and Winchester Headline Friday’s EOJHL Action

 

Ottawa, ON – It was a busy night across the EOJHL on Friday, with Arnprior, Embrun, and Winchester all earning convincing wins on the road and at home. Each squad was powered by standout individual performances and solid goaltending.

 

Arnprior 4, Glengarry 1
The Arnprior Packers picked up an impressive road victory over the Glengarry Brigade, skating to a 4–1 win behind a dominant effort from their top line. Carter Downs scored twice, while Ethan Smith (1G, 2A) and Cameron Sheppard (1G, 2A) each posted three-point nights. Hayden Mader scored the lone goal for Glengarry, a shorthanded marker late in the second period. Tristan Hodgson stood tall between the pipes for Arnprior, turning aside 35 shots in the win. The Packers improved to 5-3-0-0, while Glengarry fell to 7-3-1-0.

Embrun 5, Perth 3
The Embrun Panthers snapped a skid with a strong 5–3 home victory over the Perth Blue Wings. Wyatt Leblanc led the charge with two goals and an assist, while Yanick Blanchard also struck twice. Ethan Lamey added a goal and a helper, and Owen Raine chipped in three assists in the win. Colby Hunter recorded three points (1G, 2A) for Perth, with Max Shewfelt and Kaius Newberry also finding the back of the net. Jackson Howell made 34 saves for Embrun, who improved to 2-7-2-2, while Perth dropped to 3-6-0-1.

Winchester 5, Carleton Place 1
The Winchester Hawks delivered one of their best performances of the season, defeating the Carleton Place Jr. Canadians 5–1 at home. Daniel McDowell led the way with a natural hat trick in the third period and finished with four points on the night. Ryan Ross and Liam Monaghan also scored for the Hawks, while Kyler Leboutillier tallied two assists. Matt Legge scored the lone goal for Carleton Place in the final minutes. Jacob Turpin was excellent in net for Winchester, stopping 29 of 30 shots to secure the win. The Hawks improved to 3-8-0-0, while the Jr. Canadians fell to 4-8-0-0.
