Ottawa, ON – The Glengarry Brigade bounced back in convincing fashion Saturday night, skating to a 4–1 road win over the Carleton Place Jr. Canadians.
After a scoreless first period, Glengarry struck twice in the second to take control. Derek Larocque opened the scoring at 3:17 with his sixth of the season, followed by A.J. Alejandrino netting his first EOJHL goal to make it 2–0. Carleton Place’s Byron Box cut into the deficit late in the frame with his sixth of the year.
Larocque added his second of the game and seventh of the season early in the third on the power play, while Mike Fournier sealed the win with a late empty-netter. Matheason Cameron had a pair of assists, while Zach Boltz and Zach Taylor each added helpers for the Brigade.
Goaltender Parker Sauvé turned aside 25 of 26 shots in another steady performance to earn the win. Sebastien Janisch made 33 saves for Carleton Place in the loss.
With the victory, Glengarry improved to 8-3-1-0 on the season, while Carleton Place fell to 4-9-0-0.
