Ottawa, ON – Friday night brought high drama across the league, with Arnprior pulling off an overtime win, Richmond breaking out for eight goals, and Winchester asserting dominance at home.
Arnprior 6, Perth 5 (OT)
The Arnprior Packers snatched an overtime win on the road against the Perth Blue Wings, 6–5, in a back-and-forth Halloween thriller.
Perth jumped out early with two quick goals from Phoenix Anderson and James Lake, but Arnprior’s Alex Oster tied it up before Anderson struck again. Antoine Ziade and Arjun Uppal added two more for Perth, but the Packers responded with goals from Ethan Smith, Elijah Burton (2), and Carter Downs to force overtime.
Cameron Sheppard ended it 2:55 into the first OT on the power play, completing a wild comeback. Tristan Hodgson played the bulk of the game in net for Arnprior, making 32 saves, while Jake Dignard faced 46 shots for Perth in the loss.
Arnprior improved to 7-4-0-0, tied for first in the Richardson Division, while Perth dropped to 3-7-1-1.
Richmond 8, Embrun 3
The Richmond Royals exploded offensively in an 8–3 win over the Embrun Panthers. Gavin Landry had a multi-goal performance, while Jake Madore contributed a pair of goals. Bryce Hetherington, Nevyn Trenholm, Nicholas Milbury, and Schylar Schapelhouman all chipped in for Richmond, who built a commanding lead by the second period.
Embrun’s Yanick Blanchard scored twice, and Alexis Methot added a penalty-shot tally, but it wasn’t enough to counter Richmond’s relentless attack. Sam Nolan stopped 30 of 33 shots for the win, while Embrun split time in net between Jackson Howell and Sebastien Bourgeau.
Richmond now sits at 6-6-0-0, while Embrun fell to 2-8-2-2.
Winchester 5, Athens 1
The Winchester Hawks cruised past the Athens Aeros 5–1 behind balanced scoring and strong goaltending. Jackson Hill, Trevor Tangalin, Isaac Bradley, Vincent Anderson, and Daniel McDowell all found the back of the net for Winchester.
Athens’ lone goal came from Aiden Slattery early in the second, but the Hawks quickly reasserted control. Jacob Turpin made 26 saves for Winchester, while Marshall Greig stopped 41 for Athens in the loss.
Winchester improves to 5-8-0-0, while Athens falls to 3-8-4-0.
