Ottawa Junior Canadians Daniel Kyte Named EOJHL Sportsmanship & Ability Award Recipient

Ottawa, ON – The Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League (EOJHL) is pleased to announce that Daniel Kyte of the Ottawa Junior Canadians has been named the 2025-26 EOJHL Sportsmanship & Ability Award recipient.

The 2005-born Greely, ON native delivered an outstanding season that exemplified both high-level performance and exceptional discipline.

Kyte recorded 13 goals and 30 assists for 43 points in 42 games, serving as captain of the Ottawa Junior Canadians while consistently demonstrating leadership on and off the ice. Remarkably, he accumulated just six minutes in penalties all season — an impressive testament to his composure, accountability, and respect for the game.

In addition to his regular season success, Kyte represented the Martin Division at the EOJHL All-Star Game, contributing one goal and one assist.

The EOJHL Sportsmanship & Ability Award is presented annually to the player who best combines skill, performance, and sportsmanlike conduct throughout the season.

The league congratulates Daniel Kyte and the Ottawa Junior Canadians on this well-deserved honour.
