Ottawa, ON – The Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League (EOJHL) is pleased to announce that the Ottawa West Golden Knights have earned the 2025-26 EOJHL Top Team Goals Against Award.
Ottawa West allowed just 83 goals over 44 regular season games, finishing with the lowest goals against total in the league.
The Golden Knights’ success was built upon a disciplined defensive structure and elite goaltending throughout the season. Veteran netminder Dustin Riff led all EOJHL goaltenders with a 1.65 goals-against average, surrendering just 44 goals on the year. Rookie Carter Overhoff provided outstanding support, allowing only 34 goals while posting a 1.91 goals-against average.
Together, the team’s defensive system, strong attention to detail, and steady play between the pipes established Ottawa West as the league’s benchmark in preventing goals during the 2025-26 campaign.
The EOJHL congratulates the Ottawa West Golden Knights organization on an outstanding defensive season.
