Ottawa wins Game 5 and now lead series 3-2

Ottawa, ON – The Ottawa Jr. Canadians defeated Casselman 3-1 inside the Earl Armstrong Arena to have an advantage of the series.

The home team has won a game for the first time in this series. Raphael Lecours collects his 6th of the playoffs and his second game winning goal in this post-season. Justin Turner sealed the win with an empty netter in the final minute of the third.

Thomas Freel also picked up his 3rd goal of the series and has a two game goal streak. Ryan Whitehurst made 23 saves and allowed one goal for the second consecutive game.

Joel Hunt tallied the only goal on the power play for Casselman. Ottawa will look to end the Vikings five year championship run on Thursday night inside the Jr Brisson Complex for Game 6.
