OTTAWA, ON – The Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League is pleased to announce that defenseman Toby Almstedt of the Ottawa Canadians has been named the Week 21 Source for Sports Player of the Week.
The 2007 born Ottawa, ON native totaled 8 points (1G, 7A) in three Ottawa victories this past week. He began the week with 1 goal and 2 assists in a victory over Embrun Tuesday, followed that up with a 3 assist effort in a win over Arnprior on Friday, and finished his week with a 2 assist effort in Saturday nights win over Winchester.
Almstedt is having a tremendous rookie season, as he leads all EOJHL defensemen with 49 points in just 31 games of action.
