Perth wins game 1 over Carleton Place

Ottawa, ON – The Richardson Division Final got underway in Perth on a Sunday afternoon for the start of the best of 7 series.

F | Perth 6, Carleton Place 3

The Blue Wings score three unanswered goals in the third period to take game 1. Corey Symington scored his first career playoff hat-trick in a four-point afternoon. It’s the second time of his career that he collect’s four points in a playoff game. Mack Miller also had his fifth career two goal game.

Perth out-shot Carleton Place 49-30. Oliver Carriere (1 G / 2 A) and Gavin Browne (2 G / 1 A) each tally three points in the Canadians loss. Prior to this series, Carleton Place swept Perth 4-0 in the season series. This is only Perth’s first win against CP all year. Game 2 goes Tuesday night in Carleton Place with puck drop scheduled for 7:15pm.
