Ottawa, Ontario – It was an entertaining night in EOJHL playoff action with three deciding game fives on Friday night. Perth hosted Arnprior, Casselman was on the road against Embrun and Carleton Place faced off against Athens. All games were very entertaining throughout the night.
Perth 4, Arnprior 1 (Perth wins the series 3-2)
The Perth Blue Wings were able to reverse sweep Arnprior by winning three consecutive games to move onto the Richardson Division Finals. Rowan Lahaise collected his first playoff goal very early in the first and Brayden Davidson’s goal late in the first, turns out to be the game winner. Ben Langille would score twice to seal the deal.
Dylan Kuehl had Arnprior’s only goal in the loss. Jett Miller was outstanding in this series and made 28 saves in game 5. The winning goaltender Matthew Maas made 31 saves. The Packers went 0-for-1 on the power play and shots were equal at 32.

The Casselman Vikings were down 2-0 in the series and didn’t quit until the end of the series. The Vikings win three straight games and move onto the Martin Division Finals. The Vikings scores three unanswered goals throughout the first 35 minutes of the game from Batista, Hughes and Dyer. Hughes would score his second goal of the game which sealed the deal.
Embrun attempted to comeback but was too little too late. Charlie Belanger, Connor MacDonald and John Mahoney all score for the Panthers. Aidan Foley made 37 saves and was outstanding in this series. Zachari Racine made 22 saves and had three big saves in tight during the third period to give the team the win.

Carleton Place 3, Athens 2 2OT (Carleton Place wins the series 3-2)
Carleton Place had a 2-0 lead withb 19 minutes left in the third but Athens was able to score twice to force OT. Before Athens tied the game, it featured a line brawl with 10:28 left in the third. There were a 148 PIM between these two teams in an entertaining game five. Will Bouwer and Ethan Wallace had the goal for Carleton Place during 60 minutes.
Rhett Palmer and Connor Manderson was able to comeback to tie the game which saw OT. In double OT, Connor Dickey scores his second of the series and Carleton Place moves onto the Richardson Division Finals. The goalies were outstanding from both ends of the ice. Kaleb Griffin made 41 saves on 44 shots and Bradley Mitchell made 50 saves on 52 shots. Carleton Place went 1-for-2 on the power play while Athens was 1-for-5 on the man advantage.
