Recap | Canadians get a late game winner from Silenu to beat Winchester

Ottawa, Ontario – The Winchester Hawks were on the road to the Earl Arm Strong to play a very tough Ottawa Canadians who are coming off a tough OT loss against Casselman.

Ottawa 3, Winchester 2

Nicolas Seguin was able to extend his point streak to four games with 1 G / 1 A tonight. He now has six goals and five assists during his point streak. George Daher had his 7th of the season and Antonio Silenu was able to pick up the game winner late in the third.

Ottawa picks up their 15th win of the season and have now won three of their last four games. Ryan Whitehurst was also a main reason why Ottawa got the win because he made 33 saves. Winchester dominated the second period but was only able to collect one goal.

Steven Meadus made his Winchester Hawks debut this week by collecting the game tying goal in the third and Kyle Fleming collected a goal shorthanded in another tough loss for Winchester. The Hawks out-shot the Canadians 35-22. Ottawa was 2-for-4 on the man advantage and Winchester’s power play was 1-for-6.
