Ottawa, Ontario – The Ottawa Jr. Canadians faced off against the Ottawa West Golden Knights in an important game at the Barbara Ann Scot Arena while Renfrew traveled to the JR Brisson Complex to play the Casselman Vikings.

Ottawa 4, Ottawa West 1

The Ottawa Jr. Canadians snap their three game losing streak and are tied for second place in the Martin Division with the Embrun Panthers. Noel de Kemp snaps a three game pointless drought by scoring his 18th this season. He collects his 4th game winning goal of the season.

Connor Dobson and Janick Lacroix each tally 1G / 1A. It was Dobson’s second game back into the lineup after being sidelined for three months and Lacroix extends his point streak to six games (2G / 6A). George Daher had the games first goal back in the first. Ryan Whitehurst made 42 saves for his 15th win this season.

Noah Haymes scores his 20th of the season in the final frame. N. Haymes collects his second 20 goal season, the last time that happened was when he was with the Embrun Panthers in the 2017-18 season. He collected 24 goals that year. Golden Knights snap their five game winning streak. Canadians went 2-for-3 on the power play while Ottawa West went 1-for-3 on their man advantage.

The Casselman Vikings are headed to the post-season for the fifth consecutive year since CCHL2 existed and have made the playoffs in all of their 12 years since coming to the EOJHL in the 2008-2009 season. Frédérick Gagnier (1 G) scores the shootout winner while Xavier Léveillé and AP Ryan Wells (NCJHL St-Isidore Eagles) each scored once.

The Renfrew Timberwolves were able to battle back while 3-1 to tie the game for a point. Sam Klawitter, Ban Langille and Gabriel Hadjian each had the goals for Renfrew. Ethan Lapenskie makes 43 saves in the loss. Casselman extends their winning streak to seven games.
