RECAP | Renfrew defeats Brockville and Arnprior clinches playoff spot despite losing to Ottawa West

Ottawa, Ontario – The Renfrew Timberwolves traveled to the Brockville Memorial Centre to take on the Tikis as their season was on the line and then Ottawa West faced off against Arnprior in a rescheduled game.

Renfrew 5, Brockville 2

Reid Barber scores twice for the second consecutive game while AP Paul Hughes scores his second goal with Renfrew in a three-point night. Klawitter (1G / 1A), Hartwig (1G / 1A) and Hubers (2A) each tally two points. Renfrew has won five consecutive games and are 7-1-2 in the month of February.

Tyler Toomey and Ryan Glazer scores in the Tikis final game of the season. Dylan Dallaire made 21 saves in the win. Brockville has been officially eliminated from playoff contention. The only player graduating from the Brockville Tikis is Riley Youngs, who played in his final game of his CCHL2 career.. Congratulations on a great CCHL2 career.

Ottawa West 3, Arnprior 1

Nicholas McFarlane had a good night by collecting a player play goal and assisting on Sean Kearns game winning goal in the third period. Noah Haymes collected one assist and extending his point streak to 13 games. Jared Brush added some insurance by scoring his seventh of the year.

Pat Bones collects his fourth goal and his second goal against the Golden Knights. Despite the loss, the Arnprior Packers have clinched the fifth and final playoff spot in the Richardson Division. It will be the Packers first playoff appearance since 2016-17 season.

The Golden Knights power play was 2-for-3 and Arnprior’s power play 0-for-3. Golden Knights extend their winning streak to six games.
