Recap | Winchester defeats Ottawa on the road to extend winning streak

Ottawa, Ontario – Only one game that was on the schedule on Tuesday with the Ottawa Jr. Canadians hosting the Winchester Hawks. The Hawks were able to pull off their first victory of the season against Ottawa 6-2 at the Earl Armstrong Arena. The Canadians win the season series 3-1.

Kyle Kuehni collects his second career hat trick in a four-point effort. Kuehni’s first career hat trick came on November 15th 2017 against the Brockville Tikis. Marco Haw netted his 13th of the season for a three-point night with 1G / 2A.

U18 Rockland Nationals forward Kyle Leonard was an AP for tonight’s game and collected the game winner in the second period. It’s his first CCHL2 goal as a Hawk. Lucas Devries turned in a good performance by stopping 27 saves for his 11th win this season.

Chazka Bush and George Daher had the only goals for Ottawa in the loss. The Canadians have lost three consecutive games. Shots were 29-28 for Ottawa and both teams were 0-for-2 on the power play.
