RELEASE | CCM February Players of the Month

Ottawa, Ontario – The Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League is proud to announce it’s CCM Hockey February Players of the Month. Arnprior packers forward Neil Duncan takes home Forward of the Month, Richmond Royals defenseman Curran Gilmour is the Defenseman of the Month, goaltender Jordan Provost of the Ottawa West Golden Knights gets Goalie of the Month, and Embrun Panthers goalie Zachary Bowen earns the Rookie of the Month.

FOTM: ’01 Neil Duncan (Arnprior Packers)

Duncan, 20, collected 12 goals, to go along with nine assist in 11 games during February. He is currently on a four game point streak and had six multi-point games. The Stittsville, Ontario native has been one of Arnprior’s top players during his final season. This season, he ranks second in goals (30), 8th in assists (28) and third in points (58). Duncan most points in a game in February came on Feb 2nd against Valley where he collected four points. Duncan once had a goal streak go to five games between Feb 6th to Feb 18th by scoring a total of six goals.

DOTM: ’02 Curran Gilmour (Richmond Royals)

Gilmour, 19, was on fire while playing on the back end, as he collected three goals and six assists in 11 games. Gilmour picked up goals against Ottawa West and in back-to-back games against Casselman. Gilmour is in his third full season in the EOJHL and his second season with Richmond. The Iroquois, Ontario native is having a really great season on the back end and has 14 goals, to go along with 16 assists in 34 games. He has one more year left in the EOJHL after this season.

GOTM: ’02 Jordan Provost (Ottawa West Golden Knights)

Provost, 19, was one of the hottest goalies in the EOJHL. In February, he was 8-1-2, to go along with a 2.10 GAA / .921 SV%. Between Feb 3rd to Feb 8th, Provost went on a five game winning streak and got wins over Winchester, Casselman, Richmond and Ottawa. He then followed up by winning three straight starts between Feb 14th to Feb 20th. The Ottawa, Ontario is having a great season with Ottawa West during his first full season. Provost played in six games during a short season in 2020-21. This season, he is 22-4-2 in 28 games, to go along with a 2.09 GAA / .923 SV%.

ROTM: ’05 Zachary Bowen (Embrun Panthers)

Bowen, 16, only played in three games in the EOJHL and went 3-0, collected one shutout against Casselman on February 10th against Casselman, 1.00 GAA / .921 SV%.  Bowen also had wins over Alexandria and OJC. The big bright spot for Bowen, was when he got to play in his first two CCHL games with the top ranked Ottawa Jr. Senators. He started in two games and got his first two wins against Nepean and Smiths Falls. Bowen went 2-0 in the CCHL during February, to go along with a 3.00 GAA / .893 SV%. The Kanata, Ontario this season is 11-4 in 16 games played, has a 2.04 GAA / .934 SV%.
