RELEASE | CCM November Performers of the Month

Ottawa, Ontario – The Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League is proud to announce it’s CCM Hockey November Performers of the Month. Ottawa West Golden Knights forward Jack Haymes takes home Forward of the Month, Arnprior Packers defenseman Jonathan McMillan is the Defenseman of the Month, goaltender Justin Lee of the Winchester Hawks gets Goalie of the Month, and Perth Blue Wings defenseman Kyle James earns the Rookie of the Month. 

FOTM: ’01 Jack Haymes (Ottawa West Golden Knights)

Haymes, 20, has been on fire throughout the first two months of the EOJHL season. In November, he collected eight goals and six assists in nine games. From Nov 11th to Nov 23rd, he had six goals and four assists. He was named honorable mention for Forward of the Month in October. The Ottawa, Ontario native is ranked Tied for 5th among the league leaders in goals (14), 1st in assists (25) and points (39). He is in his third and final season with the Ottawa West Golden Knights. Haymes has 46 goals, to go along with 70 assists and 116 points in 66 career games in the EOJHL.

DOTM: ’03 Jonathan McMillan (Arnprior Packers)

McMillan, 18, has been a solid player on the back end. He collected only six assists, but is known as a shutout down defenseman throughout the month of November. He played over 25 minutes a night against some of the best forwards in this league. He spent time with the U18 Kanata Lasers for two seasons (2018-2020) until joining the Arnprior Packers in the 2020-21 developmental scrimmage season. The Dunrobin, Ontario native has played 21 games and has recorded six assists. He is in his second season with the Arnprior Packers.

GOTM: ’01 Justin Lee (Winchester Hawks)

Lee, 20, has been solid in between the pipes as of late. He went 6-1, to go along with a 2.17 GAA / .940 SV%. Lee only allowed 12 goals in seven games. He is currently on a six game winning streak in between the pipes. He picked up his first EOJHL shutout to start December in a 1-0 shootout win over Casselman. He beat Embrun, Ottawa West, Alexandria and OJC throughout November. The Ottawa, Ontario native is 7-4, with a 2.60 GAA and .938 SV% in 12 games to start the season.

ROTM: ’04 Kyle James (Perth Blue Wings)

James, 17, ended November by going on a six game point streak. He collected three goals and four assists in November. James was strong on the back end by playing both ends of the rink. The Almonte, Ontario native has three goals and seven assists in 18 games to start the season. This is his first season in the EOJHL. The last time he played a full season was with the U15 B Mississippi Thunder Kings. He only played five games with OV Silver Seven U16 AA a couple years ago.

All of the Award recipients will receive a CCM stick.
