RELEASE | CCM October Performers of the Month

Ottawa, Ontario – The Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League is proud to announce it’s CCM Hockey October Performers of the Month. Arnprior Packers player Neil Duncan takes home Forward of the Month, Ottawa West Golden Knights defenseman Nicholas McFarlane is the Defenseman of the Month, goaltender Aidan Foley of the Embrun Panthers gets Goalie of the Month, and Carleton Place Jr. Canadians forward Grady Logue earns the Rookie of the Month. 

FOTM: ’01 Neil Duncan (Arnprior Packers)

Duncan, 19, is off to a terrific start to the 2021-22 season. He collected 13 goals, to go along with seven assists in 10 games. The Stittsville, Ontario native is currently on a 10 game point streak. His best performances during his point was Westport on Oct 13th where he collected his first hat trick in a four point night. He also had two goal performances against Athens, Carleton Place and Perth. Duncan is currently in his final season in the EOJHL and will be turning 20 years old on November 16th. He is in his third season with the Arnprior Packers and last year, Duncan played some developmental scrimmage games with the Whitewater Kings.

Ottawa West ’01 Sean Kearns (7 GP, 13 G, 7 A, 20 PTS)

Ottawa West ’01 Jack Haymes (9 GP, 4 G, 19 A, 23 PTS)

DOTM: ’01 Nicholas McFarlane (Ottawa West Golden Knights)

McFarlane, 20, collected four goals and seven assists in nine games in October. During this Month, he was on a six game point streak from Oct 7th – Oct 28th. In the 2019-20 season, he tallied four goals, to go along with 17 assists in 39 games during his first year with the Golden Knights. The Ottawa, Ontario native played with the U18 AA Ottawa Sting in 2018-19 before making his way to the EOJHL level. Last season, McFarlane onlyed played 8 of the 10 developmental scrimmage games in 2020-21.

Defenseman of the Month Honorable Mentions:

Embrun ’04 Connor MacDonald (8 GP, 2 G, 9 A, 11 PTS)

Winchester ’04 Shane Moodie (8 GP, 5 G, 3 A, 9 PTS)

GOTM: ’02 Aidan Foley (Embrun Panthers)

Foley, 19, was hot during the month of October by going 4-1 in six games, one shutout, 1.30 GAA / .957 SV%. After going 0-1 to start his EOJHL campaign, He was able to win four consecutive starts from Oct 8th – Oct 22nd. His only shutout came against the Ottawa Jr. Canadians where he made 32 saves on Oct 15th. Foley could have had a shutout against Casselman on Oct 22nd, but only played 53 minutes and had 35 saves. The Grenville-sur-la-rouge, Quebec native played with the Vankleek Hill Courgars in the NCJHL in developmental scrimmage action last year, but before his junior career, he spent time by playing with the U18 Ontario Hockey Academy in 2019-20.

Goalie of the Month Honorable Mentions:

Ottawa West ’02 Jordan Provost (6-0, 1 shutout, 1.18 GAA / .956 SV%)

Casselman ’03 Zachari Racine (3-1, 1.97 GAA / .931 SV%)

ROTM: ’04 Grady Logue (Carleton Place Jr. Canadians)

Logue, 16, has been the hottest rookie since the start of the regular season. He had nine goals and nine assists in 10 games. The Stittsville, Ontario native played with the OV Silver Seven U16 AA team in the 2019-20 season. His first career hat trick came in his second career EOJHL game against Athens on Oct 3rd. He is currently leading all rookies in goals, assists and points. From Oct 3rd – Oct 10th, he had a three game point streak and is currently on a three game point streak. He was able to lead his team to eight wins out of 11 games.

Brockville ’04 Ethan Wooller (5 GP, 5 G, 3 A, 8 PTS)
