OTTAWA, ON – The Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League (EOJHL) is proud to announce the Player of the Month awards for November, sponsored by Lacroix Source for Sports.
Forward of the Month: Matheason Cameron – Glengarry Brigade
The 2006-born native of South Glengarry, ON, Matheason Cameron had a phenomenal November, finishing tied for first among all skaters in Points (18) and Goals (10) in 11 games of action. His back-to-back 5-point and 3-goal games in victories over Arnprior and Casselman were major reasons for Glengarry’s success this past month.
Defenseman of the Month: Connor MacDonald – Glengarry Brigade
Connor MacDonald, a 2004 born native from Williamstown, ON led all league defenders with 15 points (4G, 11A) in November. He put together six multi-point performances, including 3-point nights in victories over Winchester and Casselman. On the season, MacDonald leads the Brigade in scoring and also leads all EOJHL defenders in Points and Assists.
Goaltender of the Month: Dustin Riff – Athens Aeros
Dustin Riff, a 2005-born goaltender from Montreal, QC, posted a very strong 5-1-0-0 record in November. He stopped 228 of the 240 shots he faced, never allowing his SV% to dip below .923 in a single game. His highlight reel saves across the month have shown everyone around the EOJHL just how good he is. With three 40+ save victories, including a 45-save effort against 1st place Casselman to end the month, Riff has generously helped his Athens Aeros move up the standings.
Rookie of the Month: Nate Curson – Athens Aeros
Nate Curson, a 2007 born native of Mallorytown, ON, strung together an incredible month, leading all EOJHL rookies with 15 points (8G, 7A) in 10 games of action. He had four multi-point games, including a 5-point (3G, 2A) effort in a win over Smiths Falls. On the season, Curson sits second among all league rookies with 32-points (18G, 14A) in 25 games of action.
