RELEASE | Week 1 and 2 Stars of the Week

Ottawa, Ontario – The EOJHL is proud to announce the Week 1 and 2 Stars of the Week. First star goes to Carleton Place Jr. Canadians forward Grady Logue, second star goes to goaltender Jordan Provost of the Ottawa West Golden Knights and third star belongs to Arnprior Packers forward Andrew Cuglietta. Honorable mention goes to Casselman Vikings defenseman Alexandre Charlebois.

First Star: F Grady Logue, Carleton Place Jr Canadians (4 G / 5 A)

Logue, 17, collected four goals and five assists in four games to start the season. After not getting a point in his first against Perth, he’s been on fire. Currently on a three game point streak and had a hat trick against Athens in a 9-5 victory on October 3rd. Logue would then collect his second three-point game against Athens on October 9th with 1G/2A, and finally, he added three assists in a 6-1 victory over Valley. The Stittsville, Ontario native spent time in OV Silver Seven in U16 AA by scoring 26 goals and 12 points in 20 games. This is Logue’s first full season in a Carleton Place uniform in the EOJHL.

Second Star: G Jordan Provost, Ottawa West Golden Knights (3 wins, 1.02 GAA/.958 SV%)

Provost, 19, went 3-0, posted a 1.02 GAA and .958 SV% in three games. Last year, he went 4-1-1 in development scrimmage play and had some great performances against the Ottawa Jr. Canadians and the Richmond Royals. Look at this year, he’s been hot to start the season by collecting the Golden Knights first three wins out of four games. Provost collected a shutout by making 22 saves on October 7th in a 2-0 victory against Embrun. It was only his second start, but on his first start, he made 32 saves in the season opener against OJC. His last start came on October 9th against Char-Lan where he made 14 saves on 16 shots. Provost spent some time playing HEO U18 AA with the Nepean Raiders in the 2019-20 season and put up some spectacular numbers.

Third Star: F Andrew Cuglietta, Arnprior Packers (3 G / 6 A)

Cuglietta, 19, tallied three goals and six assists in four games to start the season. In the 2019-20 season, he collected 15 goals and seven goals in 44 games. Last year in development scrimmage play, he played in the CCHL with the Smiths Falls Bears in 15 games and only had one goal and one assists. This season, he is currently on a four games point streak. Cuglietta started the season by scoring two goals in a three-point night against Whitewater and led the team to a 5-3 win. The winning streak would continue onto three games by scoring a goal against Whitewater and then two assists against Valley. On October 10th, he tallied two assists in their first loss to Athens.

Honorable Mention: D Alexandre Charlebois, Casselman Vikings (2 G / 4 A)

Charlebois, 20, had two goals and four assists from the back end to start the season. He is in his final season after playing most of his Junior career with the Ottawa Jr. Canadians, then he played in the CCHL with the Ottawa Jr. Senators, Navan Grads and Rockland Nationals. Charlebois tallied 16 goals, 14 assists and 30 points in 40 games in 2019-20 season. Last season, he only played three games in development scrimmage play. The Rockland, Ontario native is currently on a three game point streak and led his team to victories against Richmond (2A), Alexandria (2G/1A) and the Ottawa Jr. Canadians (1A). He is expected to be Casselman’s top defenseman throughout this season.
